Reverend Sam Fisher

Rev. Sam Fisher was born in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. He met his wife Mary Sue in Kingsport, Tennessee while on a public relations tour for Mount Carmel High School. Mary was a student there majoring in Nursing, at the time, at East Tennessee State University. Sam and Mary were married and have two children. Nathan and Charla both are married, have families and reside in Colorado Springs.

Sam majored in Psychology at Azusa Pacific University, earned a Masters of Divinity in New Testament and counseling, and a Doctor of Ministry in family life and church renewal. His ministry has taken him to Moreno Valley, and Walnut, CA. In the latter city he planted a new church. After 18 years of ministry there he was called to Colorado Springs where he was on staff for 8 years at the Church at Woodmoor specializing in Youth ministry and Pastoral Care.

In February of 2006 he was called to the Black Forest Community Church where he has served to the present time.

Sam’s interests other than ministry include, hiking the mountain trails of Colorado, mountaineering, and skiing. Mary loves to garden, and travel the byways of the Rocky Mountains. Both love to spend time with, and spoil their four grandchildren. They consider it a great privilege to be serving at the Black Forest Community Church.
