Stewardship

What’s your vision for 2020?

What is Stewardship? It’s not a word that is tossed around in our secular communities. We use the word Stewardship in faith communities because we hope to BE good stewards of God’s resources. We also use it as a way to think about fundraising and our church budget. Most importantly the season of stewardship is an awesome way to envision for the future of BFCC. Usually with vision comes really great ideas and with really great ideas we often need resources. With resources for really good ideas, we will experience growth. This season of stewardship is an important spiritual practice and soul work because it means not only stewarding the church money well, but our personal money well so that the church will thrive. Join us in the challenge and growth of Stewardship!

Saturday, September 14 we will gather for a 1/2 day leadership retreat to glean the beginnings of a shared narrative. And, together envision for the future. This process will move us into our 2020 Stewardship Campaign.

Beginning Sunday, October 6-November 17 is our Stewardship Campaign for 2020! We have so much to be excited about, so much to look forward to and so much to do in the Black Forest and beyond. All of these things take resources. We will lean into our Church year theme (to the right) and use the book The Soul of Money, Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Life by Lynne Twist, to guide our learning and giving.

(the book is available on Amazon for under $15- let us know if you need help purchasing it!)
