Season 7!
Marta & Mandy have started to record for Season 7 of JHLTB: Ritualizing Relationship.
We’ll hear from guests all over the country who have been engaging in creative, bold, and fluid outside-the-box (I mean outside the church building) practices that have inspired us.
Our topic of discussion has emerged out of the intersections of inequality among all women. We will hear from people who empower women and free all of us from structures and systems of power and dominance. The practices we will share lean into feminist and womanist practices born out of the stories of women, ancient and modern, and are practiced by and include all people.
We will hear the stories of people who are ritualizing relationships in the church, worship, higher education, preaching, and liturgy.
Season 7 drops in mid-October! Stay tuned.

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us all to reimagine what our world looks like, and church ministry is no exception. For way too long, Jesus, the radical revolutionary of the Gospels, has been held hostage by a domesticated, polite, and watered-down church. What does it mean to follow Jesus? How do we leave the comforts of our old and familiar church life and do the hard work that Jesus is calling us to do? How can we reclaim the identity of "Christian" as the revolutionary way of Jesus? In this podcast, Jesus Has Left the Building, Marta and Mandy (and some special guests) explore these questions in order to help bring about God's kin-dom, on earth as it is in heaven.
A little About Marta & Mandy
Rev. Marta Fioriti and Mandy Todd have been friends and colleagues for over a decade. Since 2019, they have been partners in ministry at Black Forest Community Church, a small but mighty United Church of Christ congregation in northern Colorado Springs. With fearlessness and creativity, melding a unique combination of innovation and tradition, Marta and Mandy are committed to creating intentional gathering spaces within the congregational setting and within the Jesus Has Left the Building community.
